After exploring Luxembourg in a day on #TheDayTripShow, we took a day trip from Lucerne, Switzerland to #Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
Exploring a new country in a day is definitely exciting when it is one of the least visited countries across Europe. Our day trip to Vaduz started with a trip to the tourism office and getting our passports stamped. Next, we hiked up to see the Vaduz Castle where the royalty lives and then headed to a Subway to grab the cheapest available lunch. Liechtenstein is definitely expensive, even more than Switzerland.
After lunch, we walked some more around the Vaduz for our Vaduz city tour around the town center, the cathedral and headed straight to the Liechtenstein-Switzerland border. However, that was not the end of our day. Our last trip was to the isolated Gutenberg Castle. It got dark and somewhat creepy with no soul to be found on the road. After an eventful day, we took our train back to Lucerne via Zurich.
